EN8 Grade Bright Steel Bars are available in Round, Flat, Square, Hex Shapes with imperial sizes and lengths. Mild steel is also called as carbon steel or plain steel. Typically a mild steel strong and stiff. The corrosion resistance of carbon steels is poor and they do rust easily but they can be easily painted or primed. They are relatively cheap so they are the normal choice for most fabrications.

Flat, Round, Square Bars

Mild steel is especially desirable for construction industry due to its weldability and machinability. Because of its high strength and malleability, it is quite soft and high strength, so that it can be easily machined compared to harder bright bars steels. 

It is also easy to weld, both to itself and to different forms of steel. It gives excellent finishing and is polishable. However, it can’t be hardened through heat treatment processes, as higher carbon steels can. Mild steel is very strong because it contained a low amount of carbon Mild steel, as opposed to higher carbon steels, is quite malleable, even when cold. Black Steel Bars Vs Bright Steel Bars

Black steel bars are produced in a rolling mill by a heating raw material such as blooms, billet etc at a temperature around 1200°C through a number of rolls to achieve the desired bars shape and sizes. Available shapes in the market are round, square, flat, hexagonal etc. Due to the nature of the process and temperature involved, precise control of tolerances that can be achieved in mild steel and en8 bright bars but that can be achieved in black steel bars. Therefore they are further processed to make bright steel bars for processes that require more precise accuracies. Therefore black steel bars are less expensive than mild steel bright bars.

Bright Steel Bars:

Bright Steel Bars(EN8 or Mild Steel) are produced from black bars by passing through dies in a cold condition or by turning the bars in a peeling machine and some other processes. They are used where specific tolerance is required such as for use in CNC machines, etc. Some times heat treatment such as annealing is done before cold finishing.

There are five different types of processes to achieve the desired sizes for your applications.

Bolts Manufacturing Company in India, A bolt is a form of threaded fasteners with an external male thread. The wide collection of bolts is used in several commercials, residential and industrial applications. Bolts use a wide variety of head designs and screws. Bolts are specially designed to engage with the tool used to tighten the products.Some bolt heads instead lock the bolt in place, so that the product doesn't move and a tool is only needed for the nut end.

Bolt Types:

• Carriage bolt - Bolt with a smooth rounded head and a square section to prevent turning followed with a threaded section for a nut.

• U-Bolt - Bolt shaped like the letter U where the two straight sections are threaded. A straight metal plate with two bolt holes is used with nuts to hold pipes or other round objects to the U-bolt.

• Anchor bolt - Bolt designed to allow objects to be attached to concrete. The bolt head is usually placed in concrete before it has cured, leaving the threaded end exposed.

• Hex bolt - Bolt with a hexagonal head and threaded body. The section immediately under head may or may not be threaded.

• Arbor bolt - Bolt with a washer permanently attached and reversed threading. Designed for use in miter saw and other tools to auto tighten during use to prevent blade fall out.

• Elevator bolt - Bolt with a large flat head used in conveyor system setups.

• Hanger bolt - Bolt that has no head, machine threaded body followed by a wood threaded screw tip. Allow nuts to be attached to what is really a screw.

• J bolt - J Bolts look like letter J, used for tie downs. Only a noncurved section is threaded for a nut to be attached.

• Lag bolt - Hex bolt is a head with thread screw tip for use in wood.

• Rock bolt - Used in tunnel construction to stabilize walls.

• Chicago Bolt - Bolt that has a male and female part with interior threads and bolts heads on either end. Commonly used in paper binding.

• Shoulder bolt or Stripper bolt - Bolt with a broad smooth shoulder and small threaded end used to create a pivot or attachment point.
